Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to Hike the North Menan Butte the morning of Memorial Day.  The first part of this hike up is pretty killer but the rest of the hike is awesome.  We really enjoyed this hike we went the entire way around explored all around the Butte it was a lot of fun and a great view of the valley, we even found a cockroach under a rock up on top.  After we hiked the Butte we grabbed a sub sandwich then decided to go shooting.  We had a blast setting up targets and having competitions.  What a great family day we had!

 



Awards/Pacers Assembly

Another fun year of Pacers has come to an end.  Kenzie and Max were both class winners and were able to throw a Pacer Pie at Mr. Jensen.  Pacer Pies is the highlight of the year Mr. Jensen is a good sport for letting the kids throw pies at him.  Kenzie also placed 3rdd place this year, she was awarded roller blades and was excited to receive them.  Kenzie ran a total of 30 miles this year, I am proud of her and her dedication to this program.  We LOVE Pacers!

Field Day 2012

Field Day is always a big hit at Midway.  This year being the PTO President I helped a lot of with this event.  Every other year we seem to have a cold day for field day, despite the cold the kids have a lot of fun.  I can't believe another school year is coming to an end the kids have both had a good school year and enjoy their teachers.

 



Max's Mega Field Trip

Max had one Mega field trip this year we walked to the fire station, and post office in Menan, then we went to the post office in Rigby, Broulims, and the basement of Eckersell funeral home to see this huge train track set up - after we journeyed around Rigby we went to Tauthphaus Park to the Zoo.  We had a fun day and Max had a great time being with all of his friends.

Trek Family

 

Justin and I are excited and honored to be called as a Ma & Pa for our Stake Pioneer Trek to Martin's Cove.  We had a quick get-to-know you meeting at our house and can't wait to get to know these youth more and experience this Trek with them.  They are wonderful kids and we are very grateful for this calling and can't wait to share experiences with these youth.

New Job ---- New Pickup

 

Justin received a job offer from Spudnik out of Blackfoot, Idaho and we decided it was time to switch jobs.  It is very ironic that we just moved in 2008 from Blackfoot now Justin is headed back down there.  He is salesman for Spudnik and will be selling potato/beet harvesting equipment.  He is excited for this new adventure and we both feel the change will be good.  Change is good!  I found it kinda funny looking at the two pickups in our driveway.  He was still finishing up work at Eagle Farms when Spudnik gave him his new pickup.

Midway Elementary Fun Run 2012

 

The Midway Elementary Fun Run is always something my kids look forward to.  Brittany Foster has done an amazing program with the "Pacers" running program at our school.  My kids have never enjoyed running so much, Thursdays are "Pacers" day and my kids pack special lunches and make sure they have their running gear on for Pacers.  Each year the Fun Run has grown in numbers.  I have loved helping Brittany with this program and appreciate what it has done to help motivate my children to run.

Kenzie's Dance Recital 2012

 

Dance had been a big part of Kenzie's life she has been dancing she was 3, Kenzie has been dancing with Michelle since we moved here in 2008.  Kenzie loves dance she works hard and has really grown and developed her dance abilities.  Her year end dance recital is always a bitter sweet moment, relieved to have a break, a week later she misses dance already.  Kenzie we are proud of you and love watching you dance!

Spuddy Buddy Pinata

Every year for Cinco de Mayo the 6th grade Social Studies classes are required to make a piñata.  Brayden decided to make a Spuddy Buddy the potato.  Spuddy Buddy turned out really cute Brayden had a great time creating him.
