Miracles do happen!!!

Well it happened---I decided to learn how to can. I dry and freeze food, but never canned anything. I know most of you are saying well its about time, I'm just proud I finally can say I have canned something. I grew up with a Mom who canned everything, but her daughter did not catch the canning spirit until now. My friend Ali and I canned 98 quarts of peaches! They are delicous, and I had a blast canning!!!

It's a Farm Life!

We had an extremely beautiful weekend, Sunday after church we decided to drive up to the farm. This time of year it is so awesome watching combines cut grain, watching potatoes being dug, not to mention the beautiful sunsets grain harvest provides! We hurried and ate after church and went for a drive, I had my camera so I took some pictures along the way. I even played with the self-timer. Nothing more relaxing than a fall day!

Grandma & Grandpa Murdoch come for a visit.

Friday night Grandma and Grandpa Murdoch came up to celebrate Max's birthday. We had a good time visiting with them. I never take enough pictures. Friday night all the boys went to the Rigby High School football game. Rigby lost, but the boys had a good time. While the boys were at the game the girls created cards. We all had a fun time!

Saturday morning we went to Max's flag football game. Max was glad Grandma and Grandpa could watch him play. The best part of the game was when Max ran the wrong direction when trying to go for the extra point. He ran all around and the other team had to run all around to finally pull his flag. Max said he got a little confused. It was pretty entertaining.
Saturday after the game the boys played with Grandpa while the girls went shopping. I needed to get a few supplies for a card I am making and a Steam Canner, yep I am "trying" to be domestic and can peaches. I freeze stuff - but have never canned anything, this should be an adventure.
Tis the Harvest Season and Justin was working, after he got off work we all went to dinner at Big Judd's. It was entertaining watching some BYU-I students eat a Big Judd. We had a great weekend and are glad Grandma and Grandpa could come visit!

Labor Day Weekend at Sun Valley

What a fun Labor Day weekend we had. Our last break before the grind of school and harvest begin. We had perfect weather and so much fun! We were able to go swimming in an olympic sized pool, we attended the car show, fed the ducks and geese, rode the paddle boats, skipped rocks, went on fun walks, ate good food, stayed in a nice condo, visited with Grandma and Grandpa, read good books and relaxed, we all had a good time.

Happy 6th Birthday Max!!!

Happy 6th Birthday Max!!! We love you so much! Max you bring such joy and excitement to our family-never a dull moment around Max. It was a crazy day on his Birthday, being the first day of school, football games, etc. -with everything going on we had a fun day with Max. Happy Birthday buddy! Below is his bicycle/motorcycle helmet. Grandma Mecham said he specifically said he wanted a bicycle/mortorcycle helmet, thanks Grandma he loves it!

Back to School

I don't know where summer went, but its gone and here we are ready for another school year. This year is a big one for our family - all of the kids are in school. Max will be going to afternoon Kindergarten. This will also be the only year my kids are all in the same school, next year Brayden will be in Middle School! Ahhh!! Am I sad??? YES!!! I love summer and I love spending time playing with our kids, but they are excited and I am excited for them. Ready or not school is in session!

Brayden is in 5th Grade!!! He has Mrs. Clayton, Bray is looking forward to this year. She seems like an awesome teacher. A lot of big things have been going on with Brayden, he recently got rid of glasses and has CONTACTS. He looks great and is doing well with them. He eats, drinks, and breaths FOOTBALL! He is loving tackle football bruises and all.

McKenzie is in 3rd grade this year and has Mrs. Powell. She enjoys school and is excited to be back. McKenzie will be starting dance next week and is excited to get dancing, we took dance off this summer. McKenzie is really excited because two of her close friends are also in her class.

Is my baby really in Kindergarten? Max is more than ready for school this year. He is very kind and is a little worried what I will do all day without him, I assured him I would be OK the 2 1/2 hours he is at school. I don't know if you can tell in this picture, but Max just recently had a visit from the toothfairy. He lost his first tooth!!! McKenzie and Max both got a visit from the toothfairy the same night!

Due to budget cuts all Kindergarteners have to be driven to school, so here is Max and his first day getting off the bus! Their favorite bus driver Judy had to switch routes my kids were very sad they love Judy, but they said their new bus driver seems nice! Here's to an new school year at Midway Elementary!
