Lagoon - It's what fun is!

Justin had his work party this summer at Lagoon so we decided to make the most out of it! The kids have been really excited to go all week! Friday evening we drove down to Brigham City and stayed in a Hotel with a pool so the kids could swim. We had a fun night in the pool. Then we headed to where the fun is----Lagoon. I can't tell you how many times my kids have said that line since we told them we were going. Effective advertising on Lagoon's part.
Smile tells all! The kids all had a fantastic time. We definitely wore them out, but they would of stayed until closing if Mom and Dad could've endured two more hours.
Max couldn't go on a lot of the bigger rides, so we spent plenty of time on the kids rides. It worked out great because if Brayden were any taller he couldn't go a lot of the kids rides. The kids all enjoyed measuring their height before getting on each ride. Brayden is 54 inches, Kenzie is 52 inches, and Max is 40 inches. Everytime Max felt so proud when he was tall enought for a ride.

Brayden and Kenzie were REALLY brave. They went on all the scarey rides with me. We went on The Rocket and Colossus together. I'll have to admit I was a little scared and had to pretend not to be. On the Wild Mouse I actually got nervous and held on to my kids. What a weird feeling it is attempting/willingly going on something scarey with your kids. It made me realize how strong a mothers love is. (I know I'm weird.) Justin was an awesome husband and while we ventured out on the scarey rides he took Max on all the little rides.

We hit most of the rides we could at Lagoon. What a fun day! The kids are growing up! Even with some long lines very little complaining. What an adventure this summer has been! Very busy but so much fun! I REALLY hate to see school start this week. Max and I are going to really miss Bray and Kenz. I am so thankful my kids play so well together.

Tony Grove and Bear Lake

Thursday (08-07-08) I drove the kids down to Logan to go camping with Grandma and Grandpa and all their cousins. We had some crazy weather (farming delays) and didn't want the kids to miss out on a fun time with family, so I drove them down to Logan (Glen & Katherine's house). Well, Justin and I ended up being able to leave (08-08-08)-Glen's B-day. I was able to spend Friday morning/afternoon looking at tile, carpet, etc...then that evening we drove to Logan Canyon. What a beautiful drive!
The kids all had a blast at Bear Lake. The weather cooperated and didn't get ugly until we were ready to leave. We had lunch at LaBeau's and everyone got famous LaBeau's shakes. Yum!
The Mecham Family in Bear Lake!
Hunter and Max playing on the tube.
Mermaid Kamryn
Having fun at the campsite!
We had a fun time camping! Thanks for reserving it for our family Glen and Katherine! Thanks to Mom and Dad for taking our kids up early. They all had a blast. Tony Grove was absolutely gorgeous! Justin and I never went up to Tony Grove while we lived in Logan so it was fun to camp up there. Any time your in Cache Valley you can expect good times. Go Aggies!

School Registration Already?!?

Midway Falcons here we come! Yesterday we had school registration we were able to go check out the kids new school. We don't have teachers assigned yet because we need to get our records from Groveland, but the kids had a good time checking out our new school. Next week we plan on going back and meeting our teachers when they are assigned to Bray and Kenzie.
I can't believe it is August and summer is coming to an end! We've had a good summer, very busy but very good and fun. I enjoy the summer so I always get a little sad when it is back to school time. We have two more adventures this summer left: camping trip up Logan canyon (Tony Grove) & Bear Lake, and Justin's company party at Lagoon!----then it is back to school on the 21st.

Our home is also almost ready for paint, that means WORK, WORK, WORK for Justin and Lori. We are now to the stage we will be putting in some more sweat equity, with school starting it will be interesting to see how all this will get done, but it will. After we paint we are going to do our tile etc. We can't wait to move in! I keep hoping I'll wake up one day all moved in and all the work done, hasn't happened yet! :)

The Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar

Mid-July we spent the afternoon with the Andrus family, while Holly and I visited the kids were all searching for caterpillars. My kids came home with 2 caterpillars. They took very good care of them constantly finding milk weed for them and even brought them to Utah with us so they didn't die at home. Sunday when we got home from church we had this beautiful butterfly waiting for us. We all really enjoyed watching The Life Cycle of this butterfly.

Eagin Lake

Last Friday afternoon our family took a day trip to Eagin Lake. We had a blast! This lake is below the sand dunes in St. Anthony. There were very few people there so we had most of the lake to ourselves. We'll definately make this trip again!
Brayden and Justin dunked each other in the water any time they got near each other. Brayden starts flag football soon so they were practicing tackling each other.
McKenzie spent the afternoon with her googles on searching for shells and treasures in the water.
Max enjoyed helping me make sandcastles. His favorite part was destroying the sandcastles before we left.
Max also really enjoyed making sand angels. I think I also prefer to make sand angels -vs- snow angels. Justin and I just enjoyed the day together and watching our kids have fun!

Saturday was another day spent looking for house stuff. The kids have definitely had their share of home improvement stores etc. Saturday morning we went to the Blackfoot Parade of Homes. Justin and I had fun looking around at the homes, but I don't think it helped us narrow down anything, oh well we had fun. Since the kids were once again patient with us we went and saw "Kung Fu Panda" Saturday night. We all loved it! I even really enjoyed the movie and don't love cartoons.

Bray's 1st Airplane Ride!!!

What a fun experience Brayden had last week with Justin-they were able to fly in this airplane. Justin wanted to check to see how all of our farm is doing so they were able to ride in the company airplane to check out the fields (an aerial view gives you a better idea how your crops are growing). Occasionally Brayden goes to work early in the mornings with Justin, Justin wanted to surprise Bray and take him flying so he didn't tell them what they were doing this particular morning. To say that Brayden was excited is an understatement, Bray called and told me and you could hear the excitement in his voice. They had a wonderful morning flying!

4-H Buddies

This is Kenzie's 4-H group. She has been doing Cloverbud 4-H with her friends since earlier this year. They have had lots of fun projects. Quilting, Birds, Dog Care, Laundry Care, Zoo Field Trips, planting flowers, and a food unit. They just had their final party last week, she had a wonderful time. Her workbooks are now on display and the Bingham County 4-H fair. Good Job Kenzie!
