New Years Eve 2010

Is 2010 really over??? It has been a fun year for our family- lots of firsts: first trip to Disneyland, first experience with contacts, first braces, first and only time all three kids in the same school, first camping trailer, first Murdoch little girls weekend in Park City, first experience ice fishing, first tball for the youngest, first turtle, the list could go on and on. Our family has had a great year, and we are thankful for our many blessings.
New Year's Eve is always so much fun and this year did not disappoint. The grandkids all get along so well, it is so nice. We played many many games and had so much fun doing it. We had delicous food, and drank lots of diet coke. We also celebrated Grandpa Murray's 59th birthday! We all had a fun weekend, and love spending time with our family! Happy New Year!

Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas!!! Christmas is here, it is finally here! The kids all asked for a Nintendo DSi, they were all very excited and have enjoyed playing with their DS. We had a wonderful Christmas, and enjoyed watching the kids as they explored and played with all of their presents. Christmas morning we had our traditional breakfast casserole and muffins, and enjoyed our gifts. Christmas afternoon Justin decided to take the kids over to the church and try out their new tubes, they had a lot of fun! Then Christmas afternoon Grandma and Grandpa Murdoch arrived and we enjoyed spending time with them. Justin, Grandma Kathy, and I all enjoyed hours of Guitar Hero, Brayden and Grandpa Murray spent hours constructing his new marble maze. What a wonderful Christmas we had!

Christmas Eve Festivities

Christmas Eve is always so much fun, the spirit, the excitement, the traditions, the anticipation! As Brayden said: "The week before Christmas seemed to go so slow, the week after Christmas just flys by." Justin and the kids put together a Gingerbread Train, they had a lot of fun and it turned out great!

We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner with family and friends. Kurt and Evelyn came up, and Evelyn always brings the most gorgeous center pieces for our table. The kids always have a fun playing Go Fish! with Grandpa, it has become a tradition with them. We also had the Anderson family join us for Christmas Eve dinner, Aly is on bedrest expecting twins first of February! We had a smoked turkey, ham, garlic potatoes, green salad, rolls, jello salad, banana cream pie, etc... It was delicous!!! We had a very enjoyable evening!

After dinner we have several Mecham family traditions! We read about the Saviors birth as the kids put the flannel pieces on, Dad read "The Night Before Christmas", we enjoyed the famous Mecham Coke toast, we put on our new pajamas, we checked where Santa was....Cedar City, Utah, finally we set out cookies for Santa, carrots for the reindeers, and a Thank You note for our elf Chance and Santa.

Introducing our Elf----Chance!!!

This Christmas we have had one of Santa's elves join us for the Holidays. Chance is the elf that joined our family. Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Murray are doing the 12 days of Christmas for us again this year, the theme this year is traditions. Chance our elf is a new tradition for our family. He watches over us and reports back to Santa every night. We have had so much fun with him. Chance is a really good elf and a great listener. When we wake up every morning it is so exciting to see where he is. We love Chance and are so glad he is joining us for the Holidays this year!

Happy 15th Anniversary Justin!!!

On December 15th Justin and I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary. This journey with you Justin has been amazing! We decided our kids are growing up way too fast so we celebrated by going to Disneyland, what a wonderful time we all had. Justin was trying to think of something that represented our 15 years of marriage-he decided that we are getting a family portrait. Looking at our kids and our family is what these past 15 years mean to us! He couldn't have thought of a better gift. I couldn't ask for a more patient, loving, and kind husband! Not only is he the best husband around he is also the best Dad. I am definitely the luckiest girl around!!! I am so thankful we get to spend the eternities together. I LOVE YOU JUSTIN!!!

Grandma Glenda's Annual Christmas Party

Grandma Glenda's Christmas Party is always so much fun! Thank You to the Varney family for hosting it this year-they did a great job! We had a delicous dinner, played Bingo, made cards, had a coloring contest, had a toy walk, and opened gifts from Grandma Glenda. All of us were there this year except for AJ, we missed ya AJ. It is so much fun to catch up with all my cousins and their families. What a fortunate thing it is for me to have my cousins as my best friends growing up! Thanks to Grandma Glenda and our parents for always making family first! Love you guys!

Merry Christmas Grandma and Grandpa Thomas!

This year the grand kids all decorated trees for Grandma and Grandpa Thomas. The trees turned out so cute and it was so nice to be able to go set them on their grave site. We love and miss you Grandma and Grandpa Thomas!
