Christmas Eve Festivities

Christmas Eve is always so much fun, the spirit, the excitement, the traditions, the anticipation! As Brayden said: "The week before Christmas seemed to go so slow, the week after Christmas just flys by." Justin and the kids put together a Gingerbread Train, they had a lot of fun and it turned out great!

We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner with family and friends. Kurt and Evelyn came up, and Evelyn always brings the most gorgeous center pieces for our table. The kids always have a fun playing Go Fish! with Grandpa, it has become a tradition with them. We also had the Anderson family join us for Christmas Eve dinner, Aly is on bedrest expecting twins first of February! We had a smoked turkey, ham, garlic potatoes, green salad, rolls, jello salad, banana cream pie, etc... It was delicous!!! We had a very enjoyable evening!

After dinner we have several Mecham family traditions! We read about the Saviors birth as the kids put the flannel pieces on, Dad read "The Night Before Christmas", we enjoyed the famous Mecham Coke toast, we put on our new pajamas, we checked where Santa was....Cedar City, Utah, finally we set out cookies for Santa, carrots for the reindeers, and a Thank You note for our elf Chance and Santa.
