Pingree Cemetery

We had a neat experience with the kids as we took flowers around to the graves this year, we are so thankful for our loved ones and the examples they have set for us. This is a picture of us as the storm is blowing in - notice the expressions on their faces the wind was blowing hard at the moment of this picture.

Rigby Park

Before Jeff and Haley left we went to the park to let the kids get their wiggles out before heading home. Thanks for visiting we had a nice time.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a fun filled Memorial Day weekend. Jeff, Haley, Kamryn, and Hunter came and spent the weekend with us. The girls kept busy creating adventure after adventure: water stand, treasure hunts, games, and lots of fun. The boys were boys, dirt, bugs, and fun. We had a fun visit with them and glad they spent a few days with us.The kids at the Idaho Falls cemetery at Great Grandma and Grandpa Shorts graveside.

Field Day!

McKenzie has been telling us all year how she loves the Monkey Bars and can go across now, so we were able to observe this at Field Day. Justin took the morning off and we were both able to go have some fun with the kids. We were in charge of a jumping station it was amazing how far the kids could jump when they pushed themselves--they could barely clear the ropes the first time, but as we increased the distance the kids would increase their distance. I thought it was a great metaphor on life how we need to be constantly challenged and push ourselves-because we have no idea what we are capable of.

Science Fair Projects on Display

Brayden and McKenzie's projects turned out Awesome, we had a lot of fun doing them as a family. The night of the Science Fair we experienced a "tornado/hurricane" here in Rigby, the wind was blowing so bad they closed down Lewisville Highway in front of our home because you couldn't see -because of the dirt storm, we also had no power. Midway still had power so it was a good evening to spend at the Science Fair.

Science Fair 2009!

Midway Elementary has their annual Science Fair tomorrow night at the school - Brayden and Kenzie have had fun working on their projects. Brayden has always loved Science, a couple years ago Grandma Kathy gave him a bunch of science experiments, and we have had so much fun with them. I am also really glad for Grandma's box of Science experiments, because I put off doing their projects until last minute. Brayden titled his project Mentos+Soda=Fun! Kenzie's project is a "Tornado in a Tube". We'll get some pics of Kenzie's project tomorrow. If you have not played with Mentos and Diet Coke, it is time, it is a lot of fun. I only hate to see the Diet Coke spilled all over the ground.

Max and Buddies

Max, Jensen, and Payson (at the table)
Max always wants me to take pictures of him so I can put it on our family blog. We seem to keep busy attending events for Brayden and Kenzie so we do need a little Max blog action. Some of our good friends came and visited us Friday, Max was looking forward to seeing his "little buddies" (as he called them) all day. We had a wonderful visit and we are glad they ventured up North to see us.

Dance Finale!

Kenzie just finished her Spring Recital, now she has a break from dance for the summer. Kenzie did a wonderful job at her recital. We are so proud of her and all of her hard work and dedication. She has loved every minute of dance this year!Kenzie and her dance friends
