June Activities
Before we moved I took the scouts to the firestation. The boys had a good time trying all the gear on and checking out the trucks. I have really enjoyed being in scouts, especially being Bray's scout leader. All of my friends felt so bad for me when I received this calling, but everyone is mistaken. Cub Scouts has been a blast!
Kenzie had her final ballet recital last weekend! She did a fabulous job! Grandma and Grandpa Murdoch came up Friday night and surprised her at her performance. She didn't know they were there until the end. She was really excited they came to see her. Thank You! Brayden had a baseball tournament the next day Grandma and Grandpa were able to go to. I didn't get any pictures, but Grandma and Grandpa did so I'll post those later. Brayden did a great job! His little team ended up 3rd or 4th. He was excited!
After Kenzie's ballet we went to Rupe's. I had fish and chips, I gave Max my lemon, he rubbed his eye and got lemon juice in it. The next day we sat in a sand storm at Bray's baseball games, more irritation to the eye. Sunday morning when Max got up he couldn't open his eye, we ended up taking him to urgent care (this has become a Sunday ritual for the Mecham family.) The week before we were at urgent care Sunday morning because Bray stepped on a nail.
Max became a pirate for a couple days. He loved the attention! His eye was all scratched up and they only way for it ever to heal was to wear the patch over his eye. The Dr. called him a pirate and he loved it. He is now doing better.
Kindergarten day at the ZOO!
Our NEW bathroom!
Our Farm House!
Justin was able to find this farm house for us to rent while we build our home in Grant. We were able to move in immediately and have our dogs here so it was perfect. We are in the middle of nowhere. I actually love it! There is a gas station off the interstate so a Diet Coke isn't too far away. :) We are surrounded by fields and corrals, no neighbors too close, it is VERY quiet and peaceful. Ya it is an old home and it kinda feels like we are renting a cabin. No water pressure or heat, but hey I did tell Justin I could live anywhere temporarily. I joked around with some of my friends from Blackfoot that it had an outhouse....check my next post.We are still unpacking and moving in, but starting to feel a little settled. It has been very busy and crazy. My kids also started swimming lessons so I've been driving down to Shelley every day so they can continue their lessons. It has been freezing, so cold my poor little Max couldn't stop shivering so I got him out almost every day last week early. Hopefully next week will be warmer.
Memorial Day
On Memorial Day I was kinda down because we stayed in Idaho because we wanted to be available to show our home. No showings, no calls, etc... AHHHHH! So we decide to take the kids to lunch in Idaho Falls, when we got back we had 8 messages. I scheduled a bunch of showings etc.. did a quick clean, and Justin took the kids for a drive while I showed our home. The first couple to come by made an offer, we accepted the offer! What a flood of emotions we
experienced, happy, sad, scared, etc..... The tricky part of this sale is the family needed to be in ASAP, so we needed to be out ASAP. We thought we would be in Blackfoot for the summer. They had been looking for a home for awhile and just decided to rent, they took the wrong road and drove by our home decided to call and we just happened to be home from I.F. We plan on closing next week so right now they are renting from us. CRAZY! We do feel very blessed to sale our home, and the couple who purchased it seem awesome.

Memorial Day Weekend
Friday night 1st day of our long weekend we went to Rexburg with Justin. Justin had some work to do in Rexburg, and our friends The Hansons just moved up. We had a nice time visiting with our friends.
Saturday morning we got up and went to the High School Rodeo. Our good friend Wacy was riding bull, and we haven't made it to see him in a rodeo yet. We enjoyed watching the rodeo. It brought back a lot of memories for Justin. We had a fun day.
Our new Sunday tradition has been driving to Grant to check the progress of our home. We have a fun time playing around and exploring our new home. We also went to the drive-in movie, which has become a tradition for us over Memorial Day weekend.

Both Brayden and Kenzie had a great school year. Kenzie had Ms. Law and loved every minute of Kindergarten. Bray just loved 2nd grade. This is a picture of Bray and his teacher after the 2nd grade school play. Brayden had a lead role in the play and did an incredible job. He impressed both Justin and I. McKenzie also had a wonderful music celebration to end the school year. She is very animated and did a wonderful job.
