Day 8 - Seattle - Coeur d'Alene, ID

We decided to go home through Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  We were able to visit Aunt Jody, Uncle Ed, Nate, and Zach who just moved to Coeur d'Alene.  We had a nice dinner in their home and enjoyed visiting with them.  Our kids loved running around and playing with Nate and Zach.  Good way to end our vacation.  Fun road trip, fun family vacation, so glad we decided to do this.  So fun to see such diverse landscape and beauty.

Day 7 - Newport - Seattle

Newport was amazing, we could go back and spend more time there.  We walked right of our hotel room to the ocean, so beautiful.  We enjoyed walking around the docks and exploring the lighthouse.  At this point in our vacation we had no plans of where we were going, we could head home through Portland or go up to Seattle, Washington.  Since none wanted the vacation to end we decided to drive up to Seattle and explore Seattle.  We went to the top of the Space Needle and enjoyed the view, it is pretty amazing.  We decided to take a duck tour, this is a land and water tour.  We went all around Seattle, and also into the water.  The duck tour was probably the highlight of Seattle for our family, it was a fun way to learn about and explore Seattle.

Day 6 - Crescent City - Newport

Amazing driving from Crescent City to Newport!  We have amazing kids we had such a fun time with them on this vacation, we could of definitely been gone a lot longer, they are great travelers and get along so well it makes it so nice to do a road trip like this.  Today we drove to Heceta Head Lighthouse, the Sea Lion Caves.  All of us enjoyed watching the sea lions they are funny creatures.  We stopped many times along the way just to hike and explore all of this beauty.

Day 5 - Garberville - Crescent City

There is nothing quite like the Humboldt Redwood State Park.  Redwood trees are amazing, we had a wonderful day hiking around, driving through, and exploring this State Park.  I had a hard time capturing how beautiful this forest is through photograph.  We explored the visitors center and had a fun time learning all about Redwood trees.  On our way to Crescent City we ran into a Elk herd we had a great time watching to bull elk fight.  We could all spend hours on the beach exploring and collecting shells and treasurers.
