Day 2 - Reno - San Francisco

The weather in Reno was cold and snowy, as we approached Lake Tahoe going over the Sierra mountain range, several caution road signs told us chains were required to go over the Sierras. We went and purchased some chains to prepare for the next portion of the drive and all of the semi's were putting chains on.  There was a lot of snow but nothing that required us to put chains on.  Our next stop was the Jelly Belly Factory in Vacaville, CA.  The weather was beautiful in Vacaville, and that was enough to get us so excited about the rest of our road trip.  We all enjoyed the Jelly Belly tour, and were amazed what goes into make a jelly bean.  Of course we couldn't leave without getting some bags of jelly belly's.

As we approached the Bay in San Francisco we all became really excited  San Francisco was gorgeous and what fun it is going over the bridges.  Driving in San Francisco is not as much fun so we were glad our hotel was close to the Piers so we could walk or ride public transportation.  We couldn't wait to to head down to Pier 39 and explore San Francisco.  It was perfect light jacket weather a much needed break from the cold of Idaho.
