Brayden just celebrated the Blue & Gold Banquet, the theme for the banquet was Camping. The boys were asked to make a cake with their Father using the Camping theme. Justin and Brayden made a camp site, with a tent, river, and a guy fishing. It turned out nice, they had fun time making it. Believe it or not it is Brayden's LAST pack meeting his Birthday is in a couple weeks and he is moving on to Scouts. I can't believe it, where did time go!
Brayden earned more activity pins and the rest of his compass points. He has really enjoyed having the Gunters as his Webelos leaders, they have worked hard to help him earn his awards.
The highlight of the evening was Brayden recieved his Arrow of Light, it is the only award in cub scouting that is transferred to your Scout uniform. We are proud of Brayden and the work he put into earning his Arrow of Light. Brother Moser talked to Brayden and talked about how this is the beginning of many more fun adventures. It was a very nice ceremony Brother Moser and Brother Tustian said a lot of nice things to Brayden. He was thanked by his leaders for the example he sets for the other boys. He walked across the bridge held up by all of his peers and was welcomed into Boy Scouts by Brother Tustian. I'll have to admit I was holding back tears because I am so proud of my son - we also can't believe he is growing up so fast, we are so proud of Brayden and the young man he is. He is a wonderful example to his family and we appreciate his kindness and love and his desire to do what is right. It is an honor to be his parents. After Brayden was welcomed into Scouts they had him sign the bridge, all of those who earn their Arrow of Light get to sign the bridge. We just broke into 2 troops so this is a new bridge for our troop and Brayden was the first one that was able to sign the bridge. After the ceremony Brayden thanked all of his leaders for helping him through cub scouts. What a wonderful evening! Good Job Brayden-we are SO proud of you!!!
